Q&A 1 – ROI and what to invest in first
One of the commonly asked questions that we have in construction is Alex, what area of the house can we aesthetically improve to increase our ROI, that is the return on investment? And the most common answer here is bathrooms and kitchens. There’s definitely two different sides to the story though, so please keep in mind, the return on investment is one specific answer. We do want to create value in our home that will have long term growth opportunity. That’s definitely one but the other side is the lifestyle which is a little bit more subjective. Increasing the aesthetic of the home, changing the aesthetic and adding real cool designs only improves your lifestyle. And it’s a fun area to work in, in a kitchen or a bathroom and you get to enjoy it for years to come. So, if you’re planning on staying in the home and you want to make a nice twist and create a really cool aesthetic improvement, I definitely recommend bathrooms and kitchens. They’re easy areas to do, they’re a lot of fun to do the design, and the outcome is something you can enjoy for years to come.
